School Librarian NJC 12-17 £ 19,970 - £22,343 actual pa 37 hours per week TTO + 3 weeks

We are looking for a dynamic and highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, who believes that reading and literacy should be at the centre of every school, as an essential resource for student learning and research. This is a new post and a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to use their expertise and initiative to create a first-class learning and study environment, enhancing and developing the school’s resources and aligned to the School’s vision and ethos.

The ideal candidate will have experience in organising, managing and maintaining a library on a daily basis; our librarian will need to ensure that the library provision meets the needs of all its users, developing and promoting the library and a love of reading to students and staff.

You will effectively control stock including researching resource availability to teaching staff relevant to the curriculum, and make purchases in line with the library budget; you will also develop links with external library services

Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable.

Teacher of English - One Year Fixed Term

Are you passionate about English, literature and literacy and do you have the ability to deliver high quality lessons and achieve excellent results? Then come and join a high performing English team at Rainhill High School, including Rainhill Sixth.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and inspirational Teacher of English, who has a thirst for knowledge and the drive to succeed, to teach up to and including ‘A’ level for September 2021 in a popular and high achieving School on the edge of Merseyside.

This post is a one-year fixed term contract until 31st August 2022 and is a new post due to curriculum requirements.

CAN YOU HELP? VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SCHOOLS ROUTINE TESTING

Would you like to volunteer and help us?

We are currently looking for an army of volunteers to carry out various roles following the Government announcement to deliver weekly lateral flow tests from January onwards to staff and pupils in secondary schools until Easter 2021.

There will be a variety of roles to be undertaken, of which you can undertake one or more!

  • Testing Assistants
  • Test Processors
  • Admin roles (Registration of tests and results processors)
  • Cleaners

If you are available immediately on a weekly basis - we would love to hear from you! Whether you are a parent, community orientated or just have spare time on your hands – any help would be greatly appreciated.

Training will be provided as well as full PPE equipment.
