Ofsted Report 2023: Upholding Excellence and Embracing Progress

We are delighted to share the findings of our most recent Ofsted inspection, conducted from 22 to 24 February 2023. Rainhill High School continues to maintain its status as a 'Good' school across all categories, marking a significant progression from our previous 'Requires Improvement' rating.

This report reflects our collective commitment to providing a high-quality education and supportive environment for all our students, including those who are disadvantaged and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Our dedicated staff, robust curricula, and the diligent work of our pupils have culminated in this positive outcome.

Key highlights from the inspection include the respectful and kind behaviour exhibited by pupils, their engagement in leadership opportunities, and the effectiveness of our safeguarding measures. Additionally, the report outlines areas for further improvement which we are actively addressing to enhance our educational provision.

Rainhill High School should be congratulated for their exceptional achievement. They have proved themselves to be leading the field in improving GCSE outcomes for their students. There is so much good practice that this school could share, and I hope many schools will join us at the celebration ceremony for the chance to network and share strategies with award-winning schools.
